I have lonely eyes since I was a child. Looking at things from far far away from behind doors ajar and frozen windows...And I started singing instead of crying.

Now I photograph things. It feels strange. Like an intense meditation or some quest for the Holy Grail.

Others are on the road. They are lonely and they snap instants. they sculpt in the gold of days. And they are true knights of the quest.

To the spammer who just posted that comment saying I am a "sleazy" photographer...:

Well I can imagine you going to the museum, buying expensing books and giving ecstatic lectures about artists like Modigliani, Picasso or Egon Schiele and that's OK for you when they portray young naked models. Yes. Alright. Totally OK because these guys are dead and gone...The problem is : When it's today and it's a young guy, an ALIVE person who is just humbly working the same way they did then you are not OK anymore. Why so ? Because you seem to just despise Life. A life you have a hard time to achieve at its highest level. And so, to you, if an artist is not categorized as a "genius" by a majority of people or by this great boring institution you are paying your dues to then he is a nothing..He is a pervert ?...All I can say is : I pity you dirty sod...Take your hands off your pants while looking at my pictures because that is not the point here and obviously you seem to be the one with that dirty black mind.

Diana Moldovan is so much more than a doll face. First of all she really looks like Gene Tierney who I consider being one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking actresses I ever saw on screen. But the most important thing I am deeply obsessed with when thinking about Diana is her Voice. I could literally put my camera down in a middle of a shoot : Just being there doing nothing but listening to her voice. Oh.. That would make my day. That fashion doll would disappear because of the sound of words behind the words. Yes I can tell you : Her low, rough and profound voice is not talking about dollhouses. It comes from a much more distant country of adventure where the sun is still young for beggars who act in dark forests....She made me daydreaming I guess...

I recently stumbled upon this guy commenting over one of my photographs..Saying something like " it looks like a myspace picture".....Ouuh well actually it rather sounds like a compliment to me !

Thinking about so called "amateur" pics figuring on many wonderful blogs and diaries all over the internet...Thinking about their pure and direct poetry, the way they deal with the real...The way they are flowering rather than exploding...I believe these blogs have already taken over some major magazines. They are simply offering what most institutional publications failed to deliver since a long time now. And today this is so clear to me : People who publish these blogs have decided to get full back into life.

And yes my friends I think I am up for the trip too.

Why am I taking photographs ?

I think it is to simplify Life and to find my way in between the confusion.

To see things as they are. To just taste them in the raw. I like simple pictures and their simple truth. Like simple drinks.
